The kick-off of the Interaction Design Lectures was held on February 26, 2009 in the Continuing Education Building. Juha-Matti Kyyra, design engineer in Nokia headquarters in Finland, Wang Wei, researcher in Nokia Research Beijing, He Renke, Dean of School of Design, attended the seminar with teachers responsible for the lectures and students who were interested in the courses. 
First of all, Prof. He made a brief speech to warmly welcome the guests. Then, Tang Hao, who is one of the curriculum teachers, introduced the schedule and answered questions raised by students. The lectures made by Wang Wei and Mr. Kyyrakey are the key section of the seminar.  Wang Wei gave a briefing overview on Nokia Research Beijing, analyzed the pros and cons of surfing the net by the ordinary mobile phones and then raised some possible research directions. And then, Juha-Matti Kyyra explained to students the design process from ideation, prototype, to practice by sharing his user interface design experience in the Nokia S60 series mobile phone.
Their speeches are concise and lively. The research methods in the speeches left a deep impression to students and will surely become a significant inspiration source in their future learning.
